For those of you that remember us from last year, thanks for hanging in there!  It’s been a busy year for us, to say the least, but we’re still out here, constantly moving forward! And, “hello!” to those of you new to this Tribe! Hopefully all has been well with all of you! 

We are happy to finally be up and running and invite you to explore our site and online store.  You will find information on us, our artists, and our friends; as well as a safe and secure marketplace carrying the unique clothing, art, jewelry and accessories you know us for.  Please sign up for our newsletter to receive updates on new products, exclusive discount offers, and to find out which events we will be supporting throughout the year.   

As most of you know, a large part of what we do involves working with the Shipibo people of northern Peru.  While we were unable to make a trip back to Peru yet this year, we have maintained a constant contact through a good friend in Iquitos.  It has been a tumultuous few months in Peru, with clashes between indigenous Amazon tribes and the Peruvian government over what have just recently been declared illegitimate land decrees.  While these protests and direct actions have been going on, they received almost no coverage in north American media.  We ask you to keep informed on what is going on in south America, Africa, and elsewhere across the world that threatens unique cultures, like the Shipibo, that we are lucky to exist beside today.  To do our part to further assist in protecting indigenous cultures across the globe, MY Tribe Designs will donate a portion of all sales to various charities supporting these goals.
